2026 Coaches
Victoria Gerdes: I am very excited to return as this year's head coach! I have been swimming since I was 4 years old and have been a gator for the past 14 years! I have also swum for Dynamo Swim Club and for William and Reed Academy. I am a rising junior at the University of Georgia, where I’m studying chemistry on a pre-dental track! In addition to coaching, I tutor chemistry at UGA, intern at dental offices, babysit, and teach private lessons! I have also worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor at Lifetime Fitness for the past few summers! This will be my 6th year coaching and 2nd as Head Coach, as helping your kids learn to swim is something I’m truly passionate about! I’m super excited for another amazing season with the Gators!!
Jack Hinton: I am super happy to be returning as the assistant head coach for the swim team this year! I’ve been swimming for over ten years, and I’ve been a coach for the past 4 seasons. I have also been teaching swim lessons for 4 years! I am currently finishing up my freshman year at the University of Georgia and am majoring in exercise science. I was a captain for the Alpharetta High School Swim and Dive Team and was also a 4-time state qualifier. I am beyond excited for this season, and I can’t wait to meet everyone! Sydney Modglin: Hi, I’m Sydney M., and I will be attending The Ohio State University in the fall. I have been swimming at Dynamo for the past 10 years, where I also teach lessons and assistant coach! I am super excited for this season, and I can’t wait to meet everyone!
Sydney Hornfeck: Hi, I’m Sydney H., and this will be my third year coaching for the swim team! I’m a rising sophomore, and I have been on the team for 9 years now. I will do lessons at the Glen Abbey pool again this year, and I can’t wait to have another great year!
Brock Smith: Hi, my name is Brock Smith, and I’m heading into 11th grade this upcoming year! This will be my 10th year swimming with Glen Abbey! Outside the pool, I enjoy playing lacrosse and compete on the Alpharetta High School varsity team. I’m passionate about swimming and excited for another great season!
Luke Gerdes: Hi, my name is Luke Gerdes, and I'm a rising junior at William and Reed Academy. I've been swimming competitively for 12 years, starting when I was 4, and I have lots of passion for the sport. I'm really excited to be coaching the Glen Abbey swim team, as I love what the environment and energy of the sport create. Go Gators!
Ryan Palmer: Hi, I’m Ryan, and I have been on the Glen Abbey swim team for 7 years, 1 year of coaching experience, and 2 years of being on my high school's swim team. I’m looking forward to another great season!
Andy Guan: Hi, my name is Andy! I am a rising junior at Alpharetta High School, and I am excited to return as a coach this season! I have been swimming for over 10 years now and currently compete as a state qualifier for the AHS Varsity Swim Team. Aside from coaching, you can also find me lifeguarding at Kimball Farms. Kate Feierabend: Hi, I’m Kate Feierabend — a rising freshman at Blessed Trinity High School. I’ve been swimming competitively for eight years. I’ve always truly loved summer swim, and this is my first year coaching at Glen Abbey. I can’t wait! Let’s make the 2026 Gator season one to remember!
Josie Neely: Hi, my name is Josie Neely, and I am a rising sophomore at Alpharetta High School. I’ve been swimming at Dynamo for 8 years and have grown to love the sport. This is my first year as a coach for Glen Abbey, and I am so excited to get started! I can’t wait for a great swim season!
